New Video is Up, Featuring the Morphe 35K Koffee Palette!

This blog is something I did on my own, I didn’t share it on social media or tell my friends about it, not because I’m embarrassed or ashamed, but because I wanted to do this on my own. I think so far, it’s been pretty good. So I’m trying to do the same for my YouTube channel, but everytime I post I’ll make sure to let you know when I upload new videos. With that being said, my very first makeup tutorial is up. It’s not the best, but I know I’ll get better in time the more I get comfortable being in front of the camera and with editing. It would mean the world to me if you went and checked it out! Thank you so much!

Final Thoughts On Morphe

With it being the last day of the month, I wanted to give you my final thoughts on the brand I have tried this month. And on a side note, I’m still trying to come up with a catchy name for this segment without copying it from other people, so if anyone has any ideas of what to call it, let me know.

First I’ll start with the brushes. I really have been getting a lot of use out of the Deluxe Round Crease brush and the Large Soft Fan Brush. The crease brush, I have literally used everyday as my crease brush since I have gotten them. As for the other brushes they are just average, wasn’t too fascinated with them. But I’m going to be honest, I lost the kabuki brushes and the brush cleaner and didn’t get a chance to use them, so I don’t have an opinion for them.

IMG_0806.JPG

As for the eye shadows, they are just average. I just didn’t see what the hype was. For the 35K Palette, some shadows are great, but some just aren’t, but I think they are all better than the single shadows. The single shadows are kind of chalky and wear off very fast.

IMG_0809.JPG

For the Cream Foundation/Contour Palette, it’s so so. I like it for contouring and highlighting. But as using it for foundation, it just took a lot of time to find my perfect shade, and it had a very thin consistency, and I didn’t feel it had a lot coverage.

IMG_0813.JPG

Overall, I thought Morphe was okay, it wasn’t the best brand ever. There are products that are just hit and miss, I just didn’t see the big hype that people make it out to be. I might go and purchase more from the brand, but I’m not sure if I’m very likely to do that. I might go back and try out some more brushes. And I might try and get the 35O Palette when it’s back in stock, so I am able to give you some tutorials, if you request them. I don’t know, I’m still debating.

I hope you found these final thoughts on Morphe helpful. Even though I didn’t particularly find this brand totally worth the hype, that doesn’t mean that it wouldn’t work for you. And that doesn’t mean this brand is or isn’t worth your money. I’m just giving you my complete and honest opinion. I’ll use these products out, I just probably won’t use them that often, but then again, maybe I’ll give it a second chance. Come back tomorrow for another brand I’m trying out for the first time and I’ll give you my first impressions on it. Do you have any ideas of what it is? Comment down below what you think it is. Thanks for reading!

Easter Beauty, Day One: Morphe Single Shadows

I bet you’re all thinking that Easter is coming up this weekend, and you have no idea of how to do your makeup. But fear not, I am here with some tutorials for Easter. Let’s get on to this tutorial using all Morphe single shadows.

IMG_1011.JPG

IMG_1061

Shades in top picture, left to right: B.A.M, Flawless, and Perfection.

Shades in bottom picture, left to right, top to bottom: B.A.M., Lilac, Breakfast at Tiffaneez, Magical Magenta, Aloha, Iced Princess, and Dirty Martini.

First, I primed my eyes with the Nyx Eyeshadow Base in white and then I put scotch tape in the outer corner of my eye. Normally I do this to make a nice clean  eyeshadow wing, but here it doesn’t really matter since this isn’t really a smoky look. But I just use it so shadow isn’t going everywhere on the side of my eyes.

Next I put the Morphe shadow, Magical Magenta in the inner third with a flat shader brush.

IMG_1050.JPG

Next I put Breakfast at Tiffaneez in the middle of the lid with a different flat shader brush. Don’t worry if this get’s on that pink color, because it actually creates a gradient of the two shades, giving it an ombre effect.

IMG_1052.JPG

Then I put B.A.M.  on the outer third of the lid with another flat shader brush.

IMG_1055.JPG

Then I put the shade, Flawless on the crease, and Perfection on the brow bone.

IMG_1056.JPG

Then I used the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner and then curled my lashes and used the Maybelline Great Lash Big Mascara.I also put those colorful shadows in the same place under the lower lash line.

IMG_1059.JPG

IMG_1060.JPG

This completes this tutorial using these bright colors just in time for Easter and the start of spring. You don’t have to use these exact same shadows, these are just some of the only colorful shadows I had access to. Anything would really get the job done. I hope you enjoyed this and thank you for reading!

St. Patrick’s Day Beauty: Day 2

I think today’s look is a little different from yesterday, but at the same time very similar. I used almost all of the same products as yesterday, but I like today’s look much better. This look would be a good look for the day or night, probably not for the workplace though. This look actually reminds me of something I would wear to a cheer competition or while I was on the sidelines cheering. Even though I’m not a huge fan of green eyeshadow, or colored eyeshadow in general, this doesn’t look too bad.

IMG_1011.JPG

Above in the first picture is the Morphe 35K Koffee Palette, and the bottom is the three single eyeshadows mentioned in this look which include from left to right, Aloha, Flawless, and Perfection.

First I used the Nyx Eyeshadow Base in white and then put scotch tape in my outer corners. Then with a flat shader brush I put the Morphe single eyeshadow Aloha.

IMG_1004.JPG

Next I just took a fluffy blending brush into the shade Morphe single eyeshadow, Flawless.

IMG_1005.JPG

I also just sweeped a little bit of shade 2 from the Morphe 35K Koffee Palette. Also in this step, I put the shade Perfection on the brow bone and in the inner corner using that same fluffy blending brush.

IMG_1006.JPG

Then I put shade 4  in the outer corner with an angled blending brush.

IMG_1007.JPG

Then I used the Loreal Infallible Gel Lacquer 24 Hour Liner and the Wet N Wild Max Volume Plus Waterproof Mascara. (I apologize the eyeliner looks horrendous because I was being rushed when applying it.)

That’s it for this tutorial, like I said it was pretty similar to yesterday’s look, but I think this one just turned out better. I hope you enjoyed, and thanks again for reading.

St. Patrick’s Day Beauty: Day 1

I had a lot of fun with the Valentine’s Day Beauty last month and coming up with new looks appropriate for the holiday. The only thing was that it was too long, so I decided to do the same thing for St. Patrick’s day only I’m cutting it down to 4 days. For today I came up with a look I put together on the spot. It’s not my best, but it doesn’t look too bad. This look is a nice look for going out, maybe to a party or something. All of the shadows used in this look are all from Morphe.

IMG_0807gg.jpg

First I primed my lids with the Nyx Eyeshadow Base in the shade, white and then put tape in my outer corner. Then from the Morphe 35K Koffee Palette I took shade numbered 1 on my crease with a crease brush.

IMG_0981.JPG

Then I blended out that crease shade with shade 2 with a fluffy blending brush. With that same brush, I put shade 3 on my brow bone.

IMG_0983.JPG

Then I took a flat shader brush into the Morphe single eyeshadow in the shade, Dirty Martini.

IMG_0984.JPG

Then I blended shade 4 in the outer corner with an angled blending brush. Next I used the Loreal Infallible Gel Lacquer 24 Hour Liner.

IMG_0985.JPG

You can end it here, but I put some gold eyeliner on top from the Revlon Photoready Eye Art in the shade, Topaz Twinkle, then used the Covergirl Plumpify Blastpro Waterproof Mascara.

IMG_0986.JPG

IMG_0987

This was just a little fun look for me using some color. I don’t really get to wear a lot of colored eyeshadows, so I take every chance I get. I hope you enjoyed and thank you for reading!

Morphe Single Eyeshadows Mini Review

I’ve reviewed the 35K Koffee Palette from Morphe Brushes about a week ago, and today  I wanted to review the single eyeshadows I have purchased from Morphe.

IMG_0811

I like the ones that were in the palette, they’re not my absolute favorite but they are pigmented and blend out pretty well, and they just look really great on the eye. However, for me personally the shadows I bought, which I believe are all new shadows, couldn’t compare to the ones in the palette. I feel like these single shadows didn’t really show up, and had no pigmentation. These were the nude and natural shades, so I’ll try the colored ones and see how those work for me.

But the darker shade I used worked pretty well, and it just comes off beautifully on the eye. But overall with the shadows I did use, I was not impressed. But then again I believe every single shadow retails for $2 each, or somewhere in that range, so essentially you get what you pay for. I’m not sure if I will purchase single eyeshadows from Morphe again. I hope this was helpful, and always thank you for reading!
