Sand Cloud Review and Update!

Its been a hot minute since I’ve posted and I think it’s about time I update you on my review for Sand Cloud. Sand Cloud is company that sells towels and T shirts and accessories such as hats, water bottles, necklaces, and 10% of each purchase goes back to saving marine life. I’ve had the opportunity to try out these products on multiple occasions and here is how it went…

For the towel, its a nice fabric, that is perfect for lounging on. This isn’t the type of towel I would use to dry myself after swimming, but more to just sit on for a picnic or to just lay out and tan on. And the colorful tye dye pattern is aesthetically pleasing to the eye.

As for the shirts, after a few washes they feel comfortable and not as boxy and stiff as when I first got them. I kid you not, I’ve been wearing these T-shirts as often as I can, and they’re so comfortable and cute shirts.

So after falling in love with the products I got, and loving what the company stands for, I have decided to become a brand ambassador! I haven’t posted anything on my Instagram yet, but I guess you can expect multiple Sand Cloud posts in the future. The best part is, I get a discount code that I get to share with all of you so you can save some money on your purchase. If you use my code: Allicen25 you can save 25% off your next purchase!

Sand Cloud First Impressions

Alright, I have another first impression post for a brand that has grown popular over the internet and that brand is called Sand Cloud. If you’ve never heard of it, Sand Cloud is a company that sells T-shirts, towels, stickers, water bottles, …. and I think that’s really it, but I think they have plans to expand their range of products in the fall. But anyway, they donate 10% of each sale and it goes right back to the ocean. Well not literally, but it goes back to organizations that help save marine life.

So now that we have a little idea of what the brand sells and what they stand for, I’m going to do a mini haul and give you my first impressions of these products.

I guess we’ll start with the towel. The towel I bought is the Wanderlust towel and it’s just a nice rainbow tye dye pattern. I’m not going to lie, when I first saw these towels on the website, just with the way they looked, the towels look like they’re just really thin, almost like a bedsheet. But as I opened it up in the mail and got a feel for it, literally, I found that it’s actually thicker than I thought it would be. If I were to compare it to anything, I’d say it’s almost like a good quality table cloth. This towel is definitely better than I thought it would be.

I also got some T-shirts, well one T-shirt and a tank top to be exact, but my first impression is the same for both of them. Now as far as the design, I think it looks really just colorful and perfect for the summer season. I especially like how on the tank top the logo is very visible and clearly stands out. It doesn’t stand out as much on the mint green shirt, but it all looks cute. As for the quality of the shirt, it’s not my favorite. I was really hoping that the shirts would be soft and just thinner, especially for the price you’re paying. However, it’s thick and almost stiff-like, but I think after a couple of washes, it’ll soften up.

Lastly, I ordered some of their stickers. I’m going to be honest, I was a little bit disappointed because I thought the stickers were going to be bigger, they just looked bigger on the product photo on the website, but I think maybe that’s because they zoomed in for it. Also, in my order, it said I was going to be getting 6 of those stickers, the ones that say “#Savethefishies.” However, I only got 4 of those, and got 4 of the other stickers that have the Sand Cloud logo on it. So yes, I’m a little disappointed that I didn’t get what I ordered, or at least what I thought I ordered, but I kind of got over it.

Now here is the funny part. If you have heard of Sand Cloud before, you’d know that they really advertise themselves and they have a brand ambassador program, in which I think they accept everyone. They give you a promo code, and you share that everywhere, the people that use your code get a discount and you get paid. However, I don’t believe you actually get paid in cash, but in store credit. Well anyway, I didn’t apply because I didn’t want to be an ambassador for something I didn’t believe in or didn’t completely love. But they sent me bracelets that they only send to their brand ambassadors, and they sent me a little card that said welcome to the brand ambassador program. I don’t think it’s official yet because I don’t have a code, but I just thought it was strange. I’ve thought about it, but I wanted to wait until I for sure knew I wanted to represent this brand.

So all in all, I was very pleased with the towel, I liked the stickers, and I liked the design for the shirts, but I need to wait a couple of washes to give you my full review on them. Thank you so much for reading!

Pura Vida Bracelets First Impressions

Hello all, I am back, and I am hoping that I’ll be staying back and actually post on this blog. I have just been so busy with a hectic work schedule that I have found it hard to even keep up with my 100 Day Makeup Challenge on Instagram. I have skipped a lot of days, including today, but I am making it my goal to finish it before October. After the challenge is over, I would like to include some fashion into my posts, as well as beauty. But until then, I will just start posting about it on here.

So with that being said, I decided to do a first impressions post on the brand, Pura Vida Bracelets. I have seen a lot of fashion and accessories brands come up on my Instagram feed and this company was one of them. I don’t know what it was, but it intrigued me.

Now for you that have not heard of this brand, Pura Vida Bracelets is a company from Costa Rica that sells different types of hand-made bracelets, and also sell some other cool things like necklaces, rings, anklets, towels, and more.

But what is awesome about this company is that 10% of each purchase goes back to help Costa Rican artisans find jobs. It’s just nice to know that a portion of the money made from sales is going to something that actually helps people. And something that’s even better is that they have some special bracelets that have a cause, and one dollar from the sale of that particular bracelet goes to charities for causes like saving the turtles, dolphins, breast cancer awareness, pancreatic cancer awareness, and so much more.

But here are items I bought:

The Solid White Bracelet.

The Rose Gold Sun Periwinkle Bracelet.

The Anxiety Disorder Awareness Bracelet.

The Lost at Sea Anklet.

The Silver Wave Ring.

And I’m going to be honest, I didn’t order/pay for this one but it was in my package, I don’t know if it was supposed to be a bonus or if it was an accident but I also got the Grapevine Bracelet.

Here are what the items look like on me:

So far I like them, no they’re not glamorous luxury bracelets, but for the price, I’d say the quality of them is pretty good. I’m not going to lie, you could probably make these at home with supplies from the craft store, but so far I think the quality of each product is consistent and unique. These products give me that young, beach girl vibe, which I like, I never wore jewelry like this when I was younger.

On the website, it says that these are waterproof and wax coated, making them more long-lasting, which I have yet to test.

So far, I do like these products but I will make sure to come back in a few days with a full review and I’ll tell you if I would buy these again. Thank you so much for reading!
